Edward Paul Reyes' life embodies the American Dream. He attended public
schools in the 22nd California Senate district.
After high school, Edward enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. His "Semper
Fidelis" (Always Faithful) philosophy extends to all areas of his life and
his dedication to the community.
Edward graduated from UC Berkeley in 2001. While studying for his
undergraduate degree, he mentored an economically-disadvantage young
student. He also served as an outreach facilitator who encouraged and guided
high school students throughout the state to enroll in colleges and
universities.
Edward began his teaching career at David Starr Jordan High School in 2001.
He has also taught at Locke High School and Gompers Middle School in South
Los Angeles. He has unparallel knowledge in understanding the education
system.
In 2005, Edward was awarded his Master's degree in Education from UCLA.
During his first year of graduate school, Edward successfully ran for a seat

Council, part of Council District 9 in
the City of Los Angeles. He was elected
as the Council's President.
In 2006, Edward enrolled in the Liberty University School of Law in
Lynchburg, Virginia. He has performed legal externships in Century City,
California. Edward has gained legal experience in areas of employment law
and probate law. Upon graduating from law school, Edward returned to
Southern California where he now resides.
Edward is a former intern of the late Assemblyman Marco Antonio Firebaugh
and served as a docent to executive associates of former California Governor
Gray Davis. |
